The first undisguised pictures of the Jaguar XF Sportbrake have been leaked ahead of its unveiling at the Geneva Motor Show next week.
The estate model is clearly recognizable as part of the XF family,
sharing the same front-end and tail-lights, but the Sportbrake’s new
rear incorporates a boot-lid spoiler and blacked out C-pillars.
No details have been released concerning the XF Sportbrake’s boot
space, but expect it to be competitive with the A6 Avant’s maximum 1,680
litres figure and significantly more than the standard XF’s 923-litre
boot.
Other than the styling changes, expect there to be a few mechanical
tweaks underneath the skin too, including self-levelling rear
suspension for carrying heavy loads.
The engine line-up hasn’t been announced, but the saloon’s
2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel will kick off the range, alongside the
3.0-litre V6 diesel, while the 5.0-litre V8 petrol will also be offered.
An XFR version is under consideration, but won’t be available at
launch.
